Assassin’s Creed: Origins, released October 27, 2018, is a dark, gritty, bloodshed type of game that takes you back to the roots of Ancient Egypt. Bayek of Siwa is a character driven by a thirst for vengeance and is looking to avenge the loss of his child. You play as Barek and he will guide you through the depths of Egypt through the twisted stories of Pharaohs and corrupted leaders. Barek fights for the innocent people of the lower classes where they suffer working as slaves until death.
The game is an intense journey and you can make the deciding factors of what is right and wrong. Assassin’s Creed: Origins gives you complete control. You can make decisions about whom you can kill off in the process. For the full game mode, it is a full role playing experience. The game has a fully extended map and recreates all of Egypt’s architecture and environments. Within the game, you can choose different missions from different areas, and in that area the map provides an array of diverse environments from quicksand, treacherous sandstorms, curvy Rocky Mountains, gigantic sculptures with shapes of god-like figures, pyramids and so much more.
There are hidden gems and secret messages you unfold within your missions that you will need to guide you throughout your other missions. Collect all coins, ancient artifacts, and other objects throughout your missions because you will need materials to discover secret hidden passageways. If you get lost and cannot find the yellow spotted circle, then you can use your eagle friend to fly out and spot the area for you. The game has a mystical and directive feel to it. It has without a doubt some of the greatest strongest formats in a game design that I have ever played.
Like any other Assassin’s Creed games in the series, Assassin’s Creed: Origins has an open world of its own kind. It reminds me of large-scale games such as Elder Scrolls Skyrim. It is an open world where you can go out on your own and choose your own path. You can do detective work solving mysteries and finding clues to those ongoing investigations. There is a whole lot of parkour in origins from climbing buildings, pyramids, and sculptures.
Origins is nothing but non-stop fun with an extended run time of 27 hours worth of action. Origins is a depth defying third person world of exploring the great country of Ancient Egypt. Dive right into the action while slaying mystical creatures, assassins, killer animals, and of course the soon to be released downloadable content, Medusa. Explore the great pyramids, finding new objectives and missions. Parkour around the local areas while gliding through open rooftops, dive down the hay stacks to hide, climb the pyramids of Egypt, and pull off acrobatic stunts while attacking opponents.
This game is highly anticipated due to its intense game play and critical thinking. Origins is one of the most captivating role playing, third person games that’s ever hit our platforms. Recommended for a mature audience and fans that like mythology with hardcore violence.
Assassins Creed: Origins is out now for PlayStation 4, X-Box 1 and PC streaming.
