NEC students learn ice climbing skills

NEC student Emil Shultz makes a successful climb to the top of the second climbing site near Franconia Notch, a more difficult climb than the first.
The class had an amazing view of Franconia Notch Mountain before their hike to the first climbing site.
A frozen waterfall, found after a short hike up the mountain, served as the first sight for climbing on Saturday, Feb. 24, in Lincoln, New Hampshire. The set up of the trees and ice walls act as a wind block on the coldest day back at school since the start of the the spring semester.
