Women’s Soccer began their 2022 New England Collegiate Conference or NECC at home. While they gave it their best shot, they lost to Lesley 4-0. Freshmen Stephanie Bronowicki recorded nine saves.
Women’s Volleyball had a doubleheader on Saturday. They first started with a fifth set lost to Husson before playing Lesley, which started their NECC journey. NEC swept all three sets against Lesley, winning their first conference match. Samantha Vargas had an impressive day with 31 digs, three aces, and 21 kills!
Men’s Golf played in the Castleton Invitational on both Saturday and Sunday. The Grims ended their weekend in fifth place. Sophomore Timothy Carlson had a wonderful weekend with a combined 11-over par. This landed him tied for second place in the individual competition.
Men’s Soccer gave it their all against Colby-Sawyer. Within the first twenty minutes, junior Logan Cassin shot and scored for the Grims with an assist from Freshmen Wyatt Flibbert. Freshmen Joaquin Sanchez-Kornfield scored in the second half with graduate student Tucker Stenger’s  assistance. Noel Huliselan also scored in the second half with an assist from Joaquin Sanchez-Kornfield. The Grim’s won 3-0 and tallied over 30 shots on goal, with fourteen of the shots being Logan Cassin’s.
Every week the NECC gives out a handful of awards. This week the NECC awarded four Grims five awards after their efforts. Two Field Hockey Players won awards. Drea Chin won for offensive player of the week, and Giuliana Kevlin won defensive player of the week. Samantha Vargas won player of the week for Volleyball. Joaquin Sanchez-Kornfield swept in the men’s soccer category and was awarded rookie and player of the week.
