On Thursday, Apr. 7, as part of DIII week, NEC’s athletic teams participated in a dodgeball tournament at Bridges Gym. There was a good turnout. Many athletes came to participate or cheer their teammates on from the bleachers.

The dodgeball tournament began at 8:15 p.m. Each team played two games of dodgeball and were put in either a winners’ bracket or a losers’ bracket depending on how they did during the first game. Although all the teams fought hard, the baseball team ended up winning the tournament and received gift cards to Abby’s Cafe as a reward for their victory.

The event was organized by the Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC). SAAC President Jake Natola created the brackets, and several other SAAC members helped out at the event.
