Women’s lacrosse wins big on senior day vs Thomas College

The New England College women’s lacrosse team faced off with Thomas College on friday, April 1st for their Senior day matchup. The Pilgrims would start fast as they controlled the 1st quarter, coming out to a 7-0 lead.

Thomas would respond early in the 2nd quarter with a goal of their own to get on the scoreboard. Then, about 2 minutes later, Haley Barnacz would respond for the Pilgrims with a goal of her own. Thomas would sneak in another goal following Barnacz’s goal, but then the Pilgrims defense would shut down the Terriers offense for the rest of the quarter and the Grims would go into the half up 11-2.

Thomas would score a goal to open the 3rd quarter but then The Pilgrims would respond with two goals of their own, one by Lauren Rich and one by Nathalie Antigua. Thomas would score once more before the end of the 3rd quarter to bring the score to 13-4

The Pilgrims would score twice in the 4th quarter, Tailor Chapin and Kayla Rodriguez scored the goals. The final score would turnout to be 15-5 in favor of the Pilgrims.

Lauren Rich had 4 goals for the Pilgrims, while Tailor Chapin had 3 goals, and Haley Barnacz, Nathalie Antigua and Jackie Nee all had 2 goals for the Pilgrims in their senior day win on April 1st at Don Melander field.
