New England College is set to have mandatory COVID-19 testing from 9:00 a.m. to 4 p.m., Feb. 10, at the Lyons Center on the Henniker campus and from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Feb. 11, in French Hall on the Manchester campus.
This is part of the COVID-19 Response Team’s plan to do one large-scale testing before face-to-face classes.
The response team said it will assign each student a block of time for their testing, and they will send each student an email when that is finalized. They also said students must bring an NEC ID or another form of ID and a mask.
The response team emphasized, students who do not complete this testing will not be allowed to attend in person classes until further notice. If someone is to test positive, they will be required to isolate for a certain period of time. If a student has any COVID-19 symptoms, they are asked to not come to the testing, but to contact the Wellness Center, instead.
“Once this whole-campus testing is complete, we will start weekly testing of a smaller portion of our population,” said the COVID-19 Response Team. “More information on that testing will follow soon.”
