The New England College Men’s Golf team is ready to go in Las Vegas, NV as they play in the NCAA Division Three Championships starting Tuesday, May 14. The team looks to compete at two new courses after they secured the GNAC Conference Championship on Oct. 10, 2023.
The team that is being sent includes Senior Roman O’Brienhalla, Junior Captain Timmy Carlson, Sophomores Kaleb O’Connor, Graham Hassan, and Kam Hellman, the same team that won the GNAC Championship back in October. They start play in practice rounds at Legacy Golf Club and Boulder Creek before playing the same two courses for their official rounds.
“We really aren’t thinking about it. It’s golf, thinking about it is going to make it much worse than it is so we must go in with a clean mind and the intent to have fun,” Carlson said, when asked how he and the team were preparing for the NCAA’s.
The team started with practice rounds on Sunday, May 12 and Monday, May 13 before they start official NCAA tournament play on Tuesday, May 14 and Wednesday, May 15.
