A toy drive to benefit the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth will be held at New England College on Friday, Dec. 1.
The event is sponsored by the Criminal Justice Club and the Concord Police Department.
“Concord PD will have some cruisers here (NEC), that we hope to fill with new, unwrapped toys on Friday December, 1 between 10:30 AM and 12:30 PM,” said NEC Criminal Justice Professor Frank Jones.
The toy drive is not only organized by the NEC Criminal Justice Club but it is also taking place right on the NEC campus.
“We are going to be right in front of the Simon Center, and it is going to be a good time,” said Jones.
This is not the first time the Criminal Justice Club has held a holiday toy drive.
“This is actually our second toy drive, we did one prior to the pandemic, and it was a huge success, in fact the Criminal Justice club won student organization of the year that year because of the toy drive,” said Jones.
Some of the officers you see at the toy drive may be NEC alumni themselves.
“I’m hopeful that some of the personnel, which I believe is going to be around seven to ten officers are NEC alumni,” said Jones.
If you are unable to make the toy drive on December 1, you can still donate. Donations can be left at the NEC mail center for Professor Frank Jones.
