Henniker – Two cars collided at the intersection on Main and Bridge Street in the center of town just before 2 p.m. Wednesday. Police and fire officials were called to the scene.
“The subject came through the stop without yielding to the other vehicle that was heading northbound on 114 and the vehicle coming up the hill struck the vehicle in the intersection,” Henniker Police Officer Rachael Lang said.
One witness reported hearing a loud noise and then saw the accident outside his apartment window.
“I ran to my window, and I saw one black pickup with serious damage,” NEC student Adam Richards said.
The black vehicle was a Jeep that had rolled down the street toward the bridge after the driver got out. It appears it was left in neutral after the incident, police said.

“It clearly looked like the airbags had deployed in both vehicles,” Richards said.
The NewEnglander has not confirmed the identity of the drivers involved in the crash.
“I do hope everyone is ok,” Richards said.
