On Feb. 7, the Grims men’s and women’s basketball teams beat the Thomas College Terriers in blowout style at home.
NEC Women’s Basketball took the first win over Thomas with a score of 74-42.
Ericka Pratt led the scoring with 15 points and Amya Moss had 10 points.
Andrea Smellie led the Grims in rebounds with eight, and Ericka Pratt led the Grims in assists with five.
The Grims defense was dominant as well, with 18 steals, one block, and 26 overall turnovers.
The men’s basketball game played the second game of the double header and beat out Thomas 83-60.
Freshman Guard Jason Stovall led the scoring with 18 points, Alex Williams had 14 points, and Khalon Taylor had 12 points.
The Grims dominated in rebounds, with 54. Alex Williams led the team with six, and Kyle Ingles, Junior Efosa, Khalon Taylor, and Kyle Dzarnowski each had four rebounds.
The team was very efficient as well, with a 44.4% field goal percentage.
