For those of us that are returners, we have seen New England College at one of its lower points. For those who are Freshman, you are seeing New England College on a prosperous path. In 2020, the Freshman class was unable to take part in any community and school events due to the Coronavirus. Now, we are seeing in-person events such as convocation, glow-night, and the Welcome Back Bash in the Tortington Arms Pub.

Rachel French has made a significant impact on the development of these events as she takes on the new position of Student Engagement Director. French previously attended New England College and says “some of my goals coming into this position are certainly repetition and community. Being able to include those from the Manchester campus and the town of Henniker is huge.” Rachel French and her team have done a lot of work to appeal to our diverse community.

Slam Poet Kyla Lacey will be in the Coffeehouse on September 6th and an Air Band Contest on September 10th. There will be monthly Bingo and Trivia nights. As we move forward in the academic school year, there are many events for the students of New England College to look forward to! Stay positive because it looks like we are moving away from the Covid era and on to how things used to be.
