The New England Collegiate Conference released their end of the regular season awards for baseball on May 4th. NEC baseball snagged three awards as JD Normand won NECC player of the year, Shayne Audet won NECC pitcher of the year, and Terry Doyle won NECC coach.
In 11 conference games, Normand hit .455, hitting two home runs with 15 RBIs. Normand also had a .561 On-Base percentage and a slugging percentage of .788 in the conference. He had a team-leading 15 hits in conference play.
In 4 conference starts, Shayne Audet pitched 24 innings, giving up eight hits and only allowing two earned runs. Audet struck out 41 batters in conference play, leading the NECC in that category. Audet had a 0.75 ERA in conference play this season.
Head coach Terry Doyle led the Pilgrims to the #1 seed in the NECC conference tournament, becoming the first baseball team at NEC to host the game. Leading the Pilgrims to an in-conference record of 9-3 and an overall record of 22-14.
