A vaccine clinic was held on the Simon lawn on 10/13/2021. Overall, it was a success with 98 students, both pre-registered and walk-in, getting their shots. According to Wellness Center Medical Director Laura Anderson, “83 people received flu shots, and 15 people received other required shots (Covid, Meningitis A, Meningitis B, Tdap, Hepatitis B…).”
For students who were not able to get their vaccines, they is still hope. As confirmed with Anderson, the school is “working with Walgreens to host a second vaccine clinic on campus in the next few weeks.” A date for this second clinic is undetermined, as it is still up in the air whether or not it will actually happen.
