The pandemic may have slowed down since March 2020, but things are far from over. With the vaccines being approved and mass-distributed, it is easier to go out and be maskless in public settings, but it is a team effort to get back to full normalcy.

NEC offered a flu / COVID vaccine clinic on 10/13/2021 on the Simon lawn from 10am-2pm. Though the option to register for a vaccine ahead of time was available to everyone, it was not the only one. “Students, faculty and staff who did not sign up are absolutely able to attend the clinic,” said Laura Anderson, Medical Director of NEC’s Wellness Center, “but may have a short wait for insurance approval before they can get their vaccine.”

Unfortunately, this clinic will be the only one offered by NEC this semester. “Walgreens was only able to offer us one vaccine clinic this semester,” said Anderson. “If someone cannot make it to the clinic, they can go to any pharmacy such as Walgreens, CVS, or Rite Aid to get the flu vaccine.”
