On Tuesday, March 19th, 2019, Dave Nelson, a criminal justice senior, was sworn-in as a full-time police officer with the Bow, New Hampshire police department. At a swearing-in ceremony at the Bow Police Department, Chief Margaret Lougee, administered the police officer’s oath with Dave in the company of family and friends.

In addition, several of his fellow criminal justice students attended the ceremony along with Professor Jones, Professor Abbott, and Professor Hubbard. Dave was first hired last summer by the Marine Patrol Division of the NH State Police, and successfully completed the part-time police officer program at the NH Police Academy. Now, to be hired as a full-time officer prior to his May graduation, is an extraordinary accomplishment.
